Meet Our Horses

Every one of them has a name, a story, and a future.

They came to us broken. They leave whole.

Each horse at New Dawn Ranch & Rescue has survived abuse, neglect, or abandonment. We give them medical care, food, training, and most importantly โ€” love. Many go on to be adopted into forever homes. The rest call New Dawn home.

Luke
Luke

Luke arrived at New Dawn severely malnourished after years of neglect. With patient care and consistent training, he transformed into one of our most gentle and trusting horses โ€” a testament to what love can do.

Layla
Layla

Layla was rescued from a beach rental operation where she was worked far beyond her limits. She's come a long way from that tired, fearful mare โ€” today she's spirited, healthy, and one of our riders' favorites.

Romeo
Romeo

Romeo came to us wild-eyed and head-shy. Months of groundwork, patience, and kindness have turned him into a soft, willing partner. He loves children and is a star in our equine therapy program.

Bella
Bella

Bella was found abandoned on a roadside in the Baja hills. She was terrified and underweight, but her sweet nature never left her. Today she's thriving and loves trail rides along the Pacific coast.

Star
Star

Star arrived with deep emotional wounds from abuse. It took nearly a year before she'd let anyone touch her face. Now she nuzzles strangers at the gate and greets every visitor with curiosity and warmth.

Cisco
Cisco

Cisco is our resident comedian โ€” always into something. He was rescued from a situation of severe neglect but healed faster than any horse we've seen. His boldness and energy make him a joy to work with every day.
